Positional control of parts in the tooling

Use case

Sometimes… A very badly positioned part in a tooling and it is the breakage machine… See the human accident. A part slightly wrongly positioned, it, risks to end in the dustbin.

A problem as old as industry. There are solutions such as complex self-centering tools, or expensive and slow probe-based checking fixtures. Very often, this is left to the expert eye of the operator, who is not a machine either and can get tired, forget…

Computer vision is a fast and minimally invasive way to provide security by ensuring that the part is positioned as intended.

The learning of the right position can be done on a first series and be applied automatically on the following ones. It is also possible, on the series which do not return, to capture the good position on the first realized parts.
